General Information

Aerobic gram positive bacilli

  • Usually causes infection in neonates and immunocompromised patients
  • Foodborne illness associated with deli meat, soft cheeses, unpasteurized milk, and others
  • Often occurs in outbreaks.
  • Meningitis
  • Bacteremia
  • Self-limited gastrointestinal illness with diarrhea
