General Information

  • Treatment of invasive MSSA and Streptococci group A/B/C/G infections

  • Preferred over cefazolin if require CNS penetration

  • Cytopenias

  • Interstitial nephritis

  • Abnormal liver enzymes

  • Phlebitis at injection site in a peripheral vein

  • Can increase methotrexate levels.

  • Decrease mycophenolate levels.

  • Tetracyclines can diminish cloxacillin activity.
