Clinical Considerations

  • Absolute neutrophil count ≤ 500
  • Temperature ≥ 100.4°F (38.3°C) for 30 min or > 101°F (38.0°C) sustained over 1 hr
  • Delayed recovery of T cell, CD8 T cell, B cell, neutrophil and lymphocytes
  • Damaged mucosal membranes
  • Central lines
  • Central lines
  • GVHD
  • Steroids
  • Immune suppression drugs
  • Graft type
  • T cell depletion
