  • Infected animal bite
  • Normal flora of canines
  • Risk factors: Asplenia, alcoholism, immunosuppression

  • Skin/soft tissue infection

  • Necrotizing Fasciitis

  • Bacteremia

  • Meningitis

  • Associated with animal bites
  • Systemic infections have been reported in cancer patients, especially with intensive chemotherapy
