General Information

Slowly (can initially appear as non) lactose fermenting gram negative rod, of the Enterobacteriaceae family.

GI flora, especially in hospitalized patients.

Infection usually in nosocomial setting.

Nosocomial infections:

  • UTI

  • Wound infections

  • Pneumonia (HAP)

  • Prosthetic device and line infections
