Amoxicillin 1g po q8h x 5 days
OR
Doxycycline 100mg po q12h x 5 days
Drug of choice for mycoplasma infection
Azithromycin 500mg po day 1, then 250mg po q24h x 4 days
Slightly higher risk of cardiac arrhythmias; consider an alternative in patients with underlying cardiovascular disease
