Risk Factors
Hematogenous: Infection that has been seeded through bloodstream (i.e. Vertebral OM)
Contiguous disease WITHOUT vascular insufficiency (i.e. IDUs, puncture wounds, prosthetic joints, trauma, chronic HD)
Contiguous disease WITH vascular insufficiency (i.e. DFIs, neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease)
