Treatment Dosing

Post-Menstrual Age <38 weeks

1 mg/kg/dose PO bid

Consult Infectious Diseases for treatment of preterm infants

Post-Menstrual Age 38-40 weeks

1.5 mg/kg/dose PO bid

More than 40 weeks, up to 3 months of age

3 mg/kg/dose PO bid

Prophylaxis

Oseltamivir is not recommended for prophylaxis for infants aged <3 months because of limited safety and efficacy data in this age group
