CNS Infection
5 mg/kg/dose IV daily
Higher doses, 7.5 to 10 mg/kg/dose may be used in consultation with Infectious Disease service.
Other Infections
Lipid formulations of amphotericin (e.g. Ambisome) have poorer penetration into the urinary tract than conventional amphotericin. Use conventional amphotericin for neonates with urinary source fungal infections.
