• Nephrotoxicity (18% to 26%)

• CBC with differential, renal function tests, urine output
• Monitor for neurologic effects (e.g. paresthesia, seizures, slurred speech, vertigo)
• Number and type of stools/day for diarrhea
• For inhalation therapy: Pre- and post-treatment spirometry
• Monitor for signs of allergic reactions (e.g. wheezing, chest tightness, fever, swelling of face, lips or tongue)
