Restricted Empiric Indications

  • Neutropenic patients with fever
  • Immunocompromised patients with sepsis
  • Intra-abdominal sepsis in patients who failed, or are intolerant to first-line options
  • Ventilator-associated pneumonia, or treatment of some patients with nosocomial pneumonia

Restricted Treatment Indications

Confirmed infections caused by pathogens resistant to narrower spectrum antibiotics

Severe, polymicrobial skin and soft tissue infections (excluding necrotizing fasciitis)

Restricted Propylaxis Indications

Intestinal/multivisceral transplantation

Other Indications
