Treatment Regimen

SIRS / Sepsis

2 of the following:

  • Temperature >38.3 or <36.0
  • HR >90
  • RR >20 or PaCO2 <32
  • WBC <4 or >12 or Bands

Severe Sepsis
​
​

2 of the following:

  • Temperature >38.3 or <36.0
  • HR >90
  • RR >20 or PaCO2 <32
  • WBC <4 or >12 or Bands

PLUS

1 or more of the following:

  • Mottled
  • Anuria
  • Lactate >2
  • Plt <100
  • Acute Kidney Injury
  • DIC
  • ARDS
  • Fast changing LOC

Septic Shock / Refractory Septic Shock

2 of the following:

  • Temperature >38.3 or <36.0
  • HR >90
  • RR >20 or PaCO2 <32
  • WBC <4 or >12 or Bands

PLUS

1 or more of the following:

  • Mottled
  • Anuria
  • Lactate >2
  • Plt <100
  • Acute Kidney Injury
  • DIC
  • ARDS
  • Fast changing LOC

PLUS

  • Vasopressor support (Septic Shock) OR
  • Multiple vasopressors (Refractory Septic Shock)
