General Susceptibility

General Susceptibility

Optimal therapy is ceftriaxone due to CNS penetration and susceptibility.

Penicillin may be used once susceptibilities are available.

For penicillin or cephalosporin anaphylaxis, chloramphenicol is an option and there may be a role for fluoroquinolones.
