Reconstitution instructions for 250 mg/5 mL powder for oral suspension: 1. Shake bottle to loosen powder 2. Add 60mL of sterile water in 2 portions to make a final volume of 100mL. Shake well in between additions of water 3. Shake well

General Information

  • Skin and soft tissue infection

  • MSSA infections

  • Urinary tract infections

Pregnancy: Compatible.

Breastfeeding: Compatible.

  • Allergy/rash (immediate or delayed).

  • Gastrointestinal intolerance.

  • Can cause positive Coombs, cytopenias, eosinophilia, and hepatic and renal laboratory abnormalities.

Amoxicillin and ampicillin share a common structural side chain with cephalexin, therefore, there is an increased risk of cross allergy between these agents.

Increases metformin levels.
