Achromobacter is a genus of bacteria, included in the family Alcaligenaceae in the order Burkholderiales. They are Gram-negative bacilli. They are aerobic and are found in water (fresh and marine) and soils.

They are associated with opportunistic infections in people with immunosuppressive conditions like cystic fibrosis, kidney failure, and hematologic and solid organ malignancies.

They have also been identified as contaminants in laboratory cell culture.
