General Information

Neonatal: Obtain CBC, platelet count, liver enzymes, bilirubin, creatinine, urea periodically during prolonged therapy

May cause:

  • Fever
  • Rash
  • Dermatitis
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Bone marrow suppression

Neonatal:

  • Fever
  • Rash
  • Exfoliative dermatitis
  • Increased liver enzymes
  • Cholestatic jaundice
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Bone marrow suppression with prolonged treatment (rare)
  • Tablet: 100mg
  • Neonatal: 10 mg/mL oral suspension may be compounded

Route of Elimination: Eliminated mostly unchanged by kidney
