Cat/Dog Bite

Prophylaxis/Pre-emptive Therapy Indicated if:

• Any cat bites
• Bone/joint involvement
• Puncture wounds
• Moderate/severe injury
• Injuries to hand, foot, face, or genitals
• Edema in affected area
• Cirrhosis
• Immunocompromised patients (e.g. asplenia)
