High Index of Suspicion if:
Patient very ill with hypotension/sepsis
Pain out of proportion of physical findings
Anesthesia over affected area
Dishwater pus, skin necrosis and violaceous bullae
Rapid spread over fascial planes
Risk factors such as diabetes, recent surgery, obesity
