The host’s skin flora (i.e. consider MRSA if risk factors present)

The biting species mouth flora, including notable pathogens:

Cat/Dog: Pasteurella spp.*, Capnocytophaga spp.* (can cause sepsis in asplenics)

Human: Eikenella* corrodens

*These organisms produce beta-lactamases and are NOT sensitive to first generation cephalosporins
